Before our boat took off we had a couple days to just relax by ourselves in Long Beach, CA. This was our favorite part of the trip. It was so nice to play on the beach all day and not have to worry, after planning a wedding we needed the break.
We got to watch the sunset on the beach. Kyle found a crab and also a dead sea lion. It was sad because it was only a baby.
Queen Mary
Formal night on the Cruise. We sat with two pretty interesting girls. We would show you a picture of them but they were a little parodied about cameras.
Our first stop was San Diego. There were "bike taxis" everywhere. We found a guy that liked us and gave us our own little tour of the city. We got to see the dinner that Tom Cruise played "Sweet Balls Of Fire" in on Top Gun.
Our favorite stop on the cruise was Catalina Island. It was a a lot of firsts for us, first tandem bike ride, first try snorkeling (I sure need practice with that one), and first time Kayaking. We rented tandem bikes and got see to the whole city in about 1/2 an hour. It was a really pretty place. After our bike ride we took our snorkeling gear down to Lovers Cove and got to see all the fish and crabs. It was nice to be in the water but we also wanted to see the water from above so we took a little kayak trip around the cove and became friends with a sea lion. I don't think that he wanted to be our friend as much cause we spent 1/2 the time chasing it around the boat harbor.
